Eva's Heroes Needs Your Help

On May 6th 2014, San Antonio will come together for 24 hours of nonprofit giving during the Big Give SA. This is San Antonio's first ever giving day and your chance to make a real impact in the San Antonio community.

The purpose of Big Give SA is to bring nonprofits and donors together, expand the idea of online giving and connect people to causes that move them most.

San Antonio based non-profit, Eva's Heroes, needs your help. Eva's Heroes is a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals, 14 years and older, with intellectual special needs by providing an inclusive setting built on four tenets: interact, grow, learn and love.

Actress Eva Longoria and Board President Christiane-Perkins Garcia founded the organization in 2006.

Eva's Heroes offers unique opportunities for these young men and women, with intellectual special needs, that they may not be able to experience elsewhere. The organization also hosts special events throughout the year, such as casino night, that serve as fundraisers contributing to the enhancement and growth of Eva's Heroes programs.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shawne Zakeria, Executive Director of Eva's Heroes. Shawne was so passionate about the work Eva's Heroes is doing in San Antonio. She spoke about countless families that have been touched by the programs Eva's Heroes offers throughout the year.

Parent Testimonial:

For 24 hours on May 6th, Eva's Heroes asks that you donate during The Big Give SA to keep their after school program, summer enrichment program and monthly activities alive.

To learn more about Eva's Heroes, visit their website.  Join me and donate to Eva's Heroes on May 6th here.
